Wapchan is now three years old, having launched on January 1st, 2022. Despite all the roadblocks the site faced, we are more active than ever nowadays, and I can't thank all of you enough for believing in this little board. 2025 will be an important year for me personally, being the first one fully past my college days, and I hope this site grows further and remains a shining example of the potential of the imageboard format in current_year!

I've updated the site to vichan 5.2. Since I backported some features beforehand, there's a few issues visually but the site should be totally usable and also should no longer randomly say your post was automated. I'll be fixing the time soon.

It's snowing!
Site work has slowed down, but here's some updates.
- State of Wapchan II will be this Saturday (12/7) at 1PM EST.
- Chinewap streams will resume, now on Sundays at 1PM EST. This month we will be focused on winter/holiday episodes of classic anime.
- For the first time in a few years, I will be doing a new years marathon, this time on Ranma to celebrate the new series. This will be similar to the ones I used to run on storytimecinema.
- Over the next week or so I plan to revamp the radio to use 192kbps Opus audio converted from FLAC originals when available (CD and Vinyl rips). This will give much better quality than the current youtube rips.
- There is a Touhou VN being planned in /vnt/, if you are interested in contributing.

Testing out having a modern anime & manga board on here. This is something I have pushed back previously, but with /kind/ and /media/ getting a bunch of modern anime posted on them anyways, I figured it's about time.
We need new banners though, since all the banners made previously focus around /cel/.
