this is awesome, thanks anon

Thanks so much anon. I've been looking for some of these for a while.

>>3040
i have a vague memory of this but i am not sure in what media work it occurs (if ever)… surely, it would be dumb.

>>3043
>>3044
glad that a few souls like the dump. i am not done yet, since we are barely in the half of my collection of Shirow scans. you can expect more on the weekend since during the week i don't get the festive feelings i need to post more then one or two.

I'm a huge fan of this book in particular. I've always found that Shirow's digital work was unfairly dismissed by a lot of his older fans in the west, despite it being really compelling stuff. There is also the myth that his new work is exclusively hentai, which just isn't true at all.

Personally, I don't like the art work. Their skin looks like boiled hotdogs mixed with a hint of Hulk Hogan sweat. And they're eyes make them look a bit retarded.

>>3046
i rank Wild Wet Quest not that high personally but i am huge fan generally of really all his works. i am of the same opinion as you about his digital work. when he created these works digital was still very fresh and i can see why he did them.

>>3047
well, since it's entirely a matter of taste, that's totally fine for me

finally FRIDAY !! welcome back, lads'n'gals !! let's enjoy some more works from Masamune Shirow tonight. like the last time i will dump quite a few over the course of this evening, i hope you people like it and i would be happy to read some comments. it's a faint hope, i know. anyway… let's go.

this one i like very, very much. it's one of the series from the Exon Depot called Shimban (Judgement)

let's follow up with the exact next page from Shimban

let's enjoy another entry from the Exon Depot. it's just four pages for part one so we are going to check them out.

that's it for part one. we will get to part two later tonight. i will grap a cold beer now.

i have quite the soft spot for this one. centered around (cyber) bicycle racing ? anyway…

Awesome stuff!

I wish he worked in Black and White more often these days.
His digital inking is okay, but it smoothes things out too much for my tastes.
His line work is so crisp and clean that it is almost a shame to adulterate it in any way.

>>3197
we lost a lot when studios started transitioning directly to cg and encouraging others to do the same in order to save money. Later on these artists would then be outsourced to korean studios or something similar. If only the japanese economic miracle could have gone on for ever.

>>3197
preach it, brother. black and white is almost always the superior choice.

>>3057
you think shirow gets a kick out of designing the logos and future bikes?

>>3197
That isn't black and white. That's greyscale. Black and white comics look like shit and yes they exist mostly in the west. Greyscale is a lot more sophisticated.

>>3252
There's plenty of black and white comics/manga that look good with out tones, lot of popular manga is timeless like DB.

>>3253
>Toneless*

>>3252
>Black and white comics look like shit
That's not true, it's all about the drawing.

>>3253
Dragonball wasn't a black and white manga. It was grayscale.

>>3255
Well true. Fantagraphics era Usagi Yojimbo looked great despite being black and white. But it's an unfortunate rarity among black and white comics. Manga mostly deals in grayscale.

>>3256
Most of the book is toneless anon and not scaled it's tones at least if we're talking old comics they used shit like zipatone.

>>3256
Most modern manga, hell Rumko stuff is 90% just pure black and white

>>3257
It may use less than other manga but it's still grayscale.

>>3258
That isn't true in the slightest.

>>3259
>>3260
Lot of pages are just black and white or light use of tones due to it being time consuming but also look at 60's and 70's manga, tones are rare as hell.

>>3261
>but also look at 60's and 70's manga, tones are rare as hell.
No they weren't.

You keep flip flopping, too. First you said modern manga isn't grayscale. Wrong. Then you say old manga isn't grayscale. Wrong. What's your problem? Are you just immature and can't stand being corrected? I'm sorry guy but you're just fukken wrong.

>>3262
There's lot that wasn't, I'm saying that manga used less tones usually back then but there were some completely back and white manga. Read nigga.

>>3263
That one was greyscale too, dumbass. Black and white manga are rare. You have no idea what you're talking about and should stop.

>>3263
Also you're looking at a stripped down low quality reprint. This is what that manga looked like in original printing.

>>3264
This shit all black and white why are you two fighting about this? Oh wow they have gray, so we can't call old movies black and white anymore cuz there's gray? what a stupid debate.

>>3265
The DC reprints keep the colored pages, most pages don't have orange.
