I like the Japanese accounts on Twitter, lots of great art being shared and lots of anime industry people there to keep me up to date on stuff or exposure me to cool things I didn't know. Small image boards and the like are comfier though, I only lurk Twitter. I find that 4chan and Reddit are the worst middle grounds, insular, so no cool stuff from the outside to find like on Twitter, but also repetitive and uninteresting flaming all day between hysterical people.

The only issue is that trolls take advantage of it, if people could see their patterns of posting they would quickly get ignored by everyone.

I feel like a lot of supposed trolling on imageboards is just someone saying something we don't like. It's just far too easy and tempting to dismiss dissenters as trolls. I'm aware of this fact and still find myself doing it sometimes.
