Never really thought about it before, but I like the way leather-bound books smell. My KJV smells pleasant enough. What book are you sniffing? Keep smelling books.

This book is a cloth-bound book (if you're curious, it's one of these: https://www.theportobellobookshop.com/published-by/royal-classics), but I usually can't smell that kind of stuff on a book. A book's smell is just where the book came from to me, be it a new books store, a library, or a musty shed.

I have a new copy of the Institutes of Calvin and it stinks bad. It has that nasty glossy paper that smells like pungent plastic. I hate it. On a side note I really like the tan old books have and wish there was some filter or some way I could buy books with a tan page color.

new books smell good to me, though. old book scents are OK… but i don't like smelling da really old ones…

I mostly read on my ereader. It makes all the books smell the same.
