What's some anime/manga (or other media) that has aged well or aged badly since it was released?

I find it pretty interesting how older media written about an older time is often taken today to be something that predicted the present we live with now. For example, Metal Gear Solid 2 wasn't liked when it came out and the whole story is a commentary on video games, but today people see it as having predicted the internet culture of the 2020s and AI when it really didn't. It does seem like the 90s zeitgeist is lost on the younger audience and this is one of the main reasons they misinterpret it. The world between the end of the Cold War and 9/11 was a very different place. MGS2's message was dead on arrival because 9/11 happened. I distinctly remember being blown away by MGS2's visuals and the improved stealth mechanics but disappointed by a story that felt like a re-run of the first game, which was itself a clone of Metal Gear 2 for the MSX. Now its considered a classic. The world Baudrillard was writing about in Simulacra and Simulation in the early 80s was closer the world of Chibi Maruko-chan than our one, but he's taken as this prophet whose books are key to explaining our world. The Matrix's vision of the future has aged very badly but people loved it at the time. Now I watch it and think its silly. Didn't know where to post this.
