that's the toll for making the sport mainstream and catering to the social media crowds

based Marko
never trust the Great Satan

>>28104
He might be far from the best driver, but he's certainly not dumb either.

>>28107
Kino shot.

>>28113
so its true after all
reminds me when someone said something about sussie wolf and (((suddenly))) everyone went muh antisemitism

>>28117
>Marko has issued an apology to German publication F1-Insider while a Red Bull team statement stopped short of apologising explicitly.
>Comments made before the end of and immediately after the Qatar GP suggesting that Mercedes driver Kimi Antonelli had deliberately allowed Lando Norris to overtake him are clearly incorrect," Red Bull said.
>"Replay footage shows Antonelli momentarily losing control of his car, thus allowing Norris to pass him.
So even rbr says kimi did nothing wrong.

>"Max won? Oh shit, I didn't know, I had no idea!" the seven-time F1 drivers' champion exclaimed.
>"Holy shit! Wow! I thought Piastri won… Well, that's exciting! It goes right to the last — to the wire."
>"We all know Max does a great job," the 40-year-old said.
>"I think he's got a phenomenal team behind him, there's no denying that the best car really over the last four years, and maybe less so the beginning of this year.
>"But they somehow came back. He's obviously got a great car, but he does an amazing job with it. So fair play to him."

>>28119
>over the last four years
>which includes 21
I'm onto you, lulu.

It's crazy to see people wishing for PS3 to commit career suicide in the hypothetical scenario of disobeying team orders and letting Lando through for position to win the championship.
It seems obvious that the mclaren drivers would follow team orders when given to them, as we've seen it multiple times this year, and it must be contractually mandated. So, even if people support Oscar and want to see him in a team that could put him in a lead driver seat, the last thing he should do is disagree with team orders in the last race of the year, and wait out '26 to look for another seat in a different team.
I'm sure Webber and PS3 have had conversations about what to do in such situation and, even if PS3 needs to pull off a Vettel 2010 tier win, they would force Zak to stick to his word of letting them race to the bitter end if necessary.

>>28121
I think they will commit to their definition of fairness between drivers even if it costs them the driver's title, what happened in Qatar is proof of it

Speaking of, I was watching the 2011 recap earlier and the bong race finished with webber being asked to stay behind vettee because "we had an issue during his stop, it's only fair".
Holy shit, that was mindblowing. I can't imagine the PTSD he got when PS3 was told the exact same thing at monza.

>>28123
save him Wobbler

>>28119
He'd know a thing or two about what Max is capable of. Here's hoping that he congratulates Max if he pulls it off.

>>28108
Thank you based tugao

>Leonardo Fornaroli, Richard Verschoor, and Christian Costoya have joined the McLaren Driver Development Programme

>Yuki Tsunoda is set to become Red Bull's reserve driver in 2026, per Shiga Sports Japan. An official announcement should come later today.

>>28128
Why not race in a Japanese formula instead?
Let is go yugi.

Here's to you Tsunoda and Hadjar
Rest forever here in our hearts
The last and final moment is yours
That agony is your triumph

>>28130
sad, but expected

>>28130
praying for hadjar, sorry yugi

>>28130
Is this Lindblad guy any good?

>>28130
Fucking RIP Hadjar.
Hope Yugi can find some happiness.
Lindblad is gonna suck too
>>28134
Super overhyped, he's about as good as Lawson i would say.

>>28127
A minute of silence for these young men, fallen in the clutches of the greater satan.

>>28130
too soon for hadjar
why even keep lolson?
lindbab is who tier
man what the fuck is wrong with red bull, theres no way amx and a unkown engine are gonna carry them on their own for one year

>>28130
rip yugi, you were an ok midfielder
>>28138
>lawson
who would they even replace him with? yuki maybe, but lawson should have some potential to grow, yuki has already peaked.
unless they have a strong engine, rbr is in for a rough season

>>28139
iwasa just won supah formula so just kick lolson, keep rbr as it is and make toro rosso hadjar/iwasa
hadjar needs one more year before making the jump, right now he acts like early yugi

>>28138
Call me ignorant, but at least Lindblad had a better pace than TSU in Mexico

will PS3 ever recover?

>>28142
Unlikely, the only chance for him is having a good qualy and making an uncharacteristic error against Lando.

>>28142
>>28143
Unironically it's impossible for Max or PS3 unless Norris Crashes. No way he isn't getting at least a 4th unless he breaks down

So in my mind, PS3 and Max have equal, and very shit chances.

>>28143
>>28144
I was thinking more about what will happen to him from now on
one thing that comes to mind is that if Norris does win the title Sunday McLaren will probably start to clearly enact 1st/2nd driver priorities next season to avoid getting embarrassed with what happened this season

>>28145
I can see PS3 pulling an Alonso and just fucking off from Mclaren once a better window shows up.
Then again, Norris might pull a Damon Hill too.

>>28145
Yeah, the way things are going for him it'd be better to look for another team. I was just thinking about it early today.
RB could be an option, but I'm not sure he'd want that. VCARB would be a downgrade
Merc could be another option, but depends if they nail their engine and if NARB wants to stay in.
Ferrari would be a downgrade
Willams shouldn't be an option, and Vowles looks more than happy with his drivers
Alpine, lol no
Audi, a good candidate for a team, but it all depends on their engine dev.
Haas, lol no
Cadillac, lol no
Aston Martin could be the 2nd best option if Stroll is kicked out of the team, or if Fernando quits.

Just trying to get to the cap limit before moving

>On the last Five Occasions that at least Three Drivers were involved in the title decider - 1981, 1983, 1986, 2007 & 2010 - The driver leading the championship heading into the race never went on to win the title.

A weird stat considering that 4 out of 5 of these involved reliability issues.
Could Norris lose the championship too? I wish.

>>28151
a couple more fun facts to pad the lap
>Max Verstappen is guaranteed to finish the ground-effect era with more wins, poles & podiums than any other driver or constructor
>Wins - Verstappen - 50 McLaren - 20
>Poles - Verstappen - 34 Ferrari - 24
>Podiums - Verstappen - 66 McLaren - 63

>With just 1 race left to end the ground effect era, Verstappen has shared the same number of podiums with Leclerc as with Norris, with a total of 23

>Yuki Tsunoda will go down in F1 history as the driver with the 3rd most GPs without ever stepping on the podium unless he gets a podium in Abu Dhabi

>Oscar Piastri has now more F1 podiums than George Russell

>The last 10 races in Abu Dhabi have been won by the poleman

>Arvid Lindblad will be the 1st driver on the grid who was not alive to see a Fernando Alonso world championship

>The gap in age between Lindblad and Alonso is 26 years and 10 days, almost the same age as Lando Norris right now

>Max Verstappen owns the best pole-to-win rate in F1 history among drivers with more than 1 pole again
>Verstappen - 76.6% (36/47)
>Piastri - 66.7% (4/6)

>>28152
>Max Verstappen is guaranteed to finish the ground-effect era with more wins, poles & podiums than any other driver or constructor
Out fucking skilled
>Arvid Lindblad will be the 1st driver on the grid who was not alive to see a Fernando Alonso world championship
That's a ridiculous stat

>Oscar Piastri after Abu Dhabi 2028

kicking lawson out now would be too soon imo. he's had 1 season + 11 races as a sub, lackluster results sure, outscored by hadjar sure.
iwasa is no guarantee, and if he sucks then what?
let lawson have another season or at least half a season, then bring in iwasa if the situation is that dire.
