Hi,
This is for the users of /kind/, old friends of wapchan.
Be kind.

No matter who you are or what you've done, we're all friends here in /kind/.

Hello /kind/. It's such a small thing, but are you happy with these orange text boxes? They're what remains of a scrapped autumn CSS I was making 4 years ago. I can make them blue again if you want.

>>1325
I like them. The contrast between them and the background is nice. It's a good color scheme.

>>1328
+1

it looks kinda happy ^_^

>>1325
i like these colours, it's super readable and pastel-y

i like the purple when a comment is highlighted too

>>1325
it would be nice if we had a spring theme. but, uh... i was eating cake, when i suddenly had the urge to make themes based around ice cream flavors!

>>1340
i like vanilla a lot

>>1340
I like the last one a lot.

Our cute anon default name used to be Friend. Where are all my friends!? I thought we're all friends here!

The default name now reflects the truth that we're all friends!

>>1387
Yatta~! Friends!

>>1386
Not frens?

>>1390
The term "fren" has too many negative connotations now. Not worth it

>>1391
> too many negative connotations

>>1391
Frogs?

>>1391
Some people may have used it negatively, but that doesn't mean we have to stop using it for its original meaning.

>>1390
>>1394
Not been a thing on /kind/ though so there's nothing to stop. We're all friends on /kind/!

>>1386
That message really takes me back. I always liked that one and the little board description "No bully! Help others!". Just some minor details that made the old board feel really special.

>>1390
Fren always felt kind of flippant to me, personally. I genuinely think of everyone here as my friend.

>>1396
>I genuinely think of everyone here as my friend.
That's beautiful. This anon considers you a friend too.

>>1396
>>1410
I love you.

>>1424
i love you too...

The majority of /chill/ posts have been moved over to /kind/ as the boards were very similar from the start. The /chill/ CSS is still available in the styles menu.

>>1588
so this is /kill/ now?

>>1603
seems like it.

>>1605
Please don't post guro.

>>1646
What's wrong?

>>1662
I'm really so sorry...

>>1664
S-sorry!

Is the picture gone from the OP?

>>1830
Newfriend janny unlinked it.

>>1831
Is it possible to restore?

>>1832
I'm pretty sure it can't be restored. We could make a new meta thread with the image. Then I could merge this thread into the new one. That's probably the closest we can get to how it was before.

>>1835
seems like a good idea!

>>1835
Can't figamin fiddle with the database or something? Giving up >>1 sounds like a tough choice.

>>1840
I can try to manually link the file tonight.

>>1841
how goes it?

>>1841
It's a long night...

oh my god!! natsuki from DDLC is akari, but grown up!

We are once again friends with wirechan. Sadly, they had been raided twice, almost every thread was lost. They are still recovering, so consider checking out their boards and showing them some love.

>>2120
I really hate what Wirechan's become. Seems like most of the old posters left and now it's just low effort spam. Not really much point to visit anymore. Makes me really sad.

>>2130
I think that's all the more reason to visit. The spam can be deleted and old posters could come back. All it would take is two people who care to turn this situation around. I'll talk to the admin to see what can be done.

>>2120
>>2130
>>2131
why do people on the net want me to love lain so much? i don't get it...

>>2131
Actually not possible. The new posters imminently outnumbered the old posters when they arrived. And Wirechan had always been a super low activity site. There was literally nothing that could be done, fighting thread spam with more thread spam just means more thread spam.

>>2134
how would you deal with that if it happened here?

>>2134
The spam that is up on wirechan right now wasn't made by newfags. All the spam was made by one guy who's been fucking with grimchan/wirechan for years. I never said spamming wirechan was the solution. Koi deleting the spam is the solution to the spam. I definitely didn't say anything about what wirechan could've done in the past.

>>2134
>>2138
i like spam. it's tasty! but it's surprisingly expensive for some reason. i'd eat canned sardines instead.

>>2191
I asked milord. Editing the data based thingy manually doesn't work. A function to re-link the image would have to be written. Basically it's not feasible due to time constraints. Maybe a bored computer wiz with spare time will appear and fix all of our problems. That's usually how all my puter problems get fixed yes sir.

>>2205
um... what's so hard about it? SQL already has a hash join command. couldn't our lord use that to re-link the akari from an older copy of the DB thing...?

>>2328
New banner?

>>2330
Nice. It's in.

when are you going to add https://www.4-ch.net/dqn/ as friends huh? you kids shouldn't forget your elders you know.

>>2333
Sure let's be friends. Just put up a link to /kind/ and we'll link back to your board.

>>2334
Isn't DQN short for delinquent? Sounds scary!

>>2339
i'm pretty sure DQN means deep q network (DQN)...

Figamin should just replace /text/ with a link to DQN. I dunno maybe that breaks site rules? Not like anyone uses /text/ anyway

>>2403
You should just replace DQN with a link to /text/. It wouldn't be against DQN rules. You would be helping out a smaller board, and that would be /kind/!

>>2403
This wouldn't break site rules or anything on either site...
However I've also never talked to the any staff of channel4 (I don't use it).
I am making efforts to create a small webring of like minded sites which may in the future include a text board.
If you want to help more directly, you can always message me at admin@wapchan.org or discord.

>>2410
imageboards are basically textboards!

>>2528
I can't wait for your next Marijuana fueled "X is actually just Y" post.

>>2530
Rude...

>>2588
Dude...

>>2589
Food!

>>2591
müde

>>2592
mood?

>>1387
Yesterday I had no friends. Now I have a whole board ^__^

I cant help myself, how to help the others?

>>2685
Welcome aboard newfriend!
>>2686
A friend could be struggling with a problem you've overcome or have more experience with. Sharing your insights could be helpful in those cases.

Did the bump limit get lowered? Why is the gif thread not bumping?

>>2716
Yeah it's 750 now.

>>2717
Thanks!

hikari3 (dot) ch links you as a friend. I am a random passerby, but maybe you want to link them back. They're a comfy imageboard, even better quality than wirechan. Dunno how your linking each other works though, just my five cents.

>>2727
Sure I love friends. Now we're double linked friends.

>>2736
Why is that map empty?

>>2738
You have Akarin what else do you need?

>>2739
this place needs a secretary…

Is our theming gone forever or am I just silly and don't know how to re-enable it?

PS: c'mon, it's not 2011, can't we have MP4 uploads, pretty please?

>>2815
Go to the bottom right corner of the page where it says "Style".
Or force refresh the page (hold down shift when refreshing)
Also I forgot to install ffmpeg, lol. That's been fixed

Are the banners gone?

>>2820
Accidentally overwrote the banners file. fixd 💡

>>2821
oh, nice! didn't notice…

Wow it's snowing!

>>2945
It's a wapchan christmas…

Happy new years, /kind/.

newfriend and refugee since captcha 2.0 killed the reneighbor project
is sportschan a friend?

>>3108
interesting… it seems like the infinity cup has been dead for a few years, while the 4chan cup has continued to run. perhaps wapchan can put something together?

>>3104
Hi newfriend. We aren't formally friends but I like to think /kind/ is friends with every 8chan diaspora board in a spiritual sense. I have fond memories of /sp/ trying and failing to steal our 10000 GET. We also beat them that one time in the infinity cup.
https://infinitycup.miraheze.org/wiki//kind/

Giving me the ability to delete my own posts was a mistake.

>>3120
Yeah ellipsis what?

The contrast ratio of old wapchan for quoted text against the background is 5.23:1
The new default on /cel/, the contrast ratio is 0.865:1

While I personally have increasingly old man eyes vs the average person, I strain pretty hard to read quotes there.

Sorry 1.28:1
I think WCAG recs say 4.5:1 as ballpark. Or maybe my eyes are just that bad these days.

>>3419
>>3420
I have updated the color to be easier on the eyes. Let me know if it's still good (this site really wasn't designed with WCAG recs in mind but I am more than happy to fix things)

Test post from onion service.
Sugoi onion! My post is here!

>>3735
How am I supposed to stalk you now?! Not sugoi!

>>3752
You'll have to plant a bug on them right now. I can help but you'll have to keep silent about it.

>>3756
sorry but you make me want to vomit

>>3757
why?

Did the onion link just died?

>>3937
My bad, it's back up now.

Is wap/kind/ descended from 8/kind/ back in 2015?

>>3975
That's right. Some of us followed the board all the way from 8/kind/ to here.

>>3976
That's good to hear, I had good memories of 8/kind/ from the time I was there even though I didn't stick around on 8chan post-2015.

>>1
>If you want any changes let me know
…do suggestions count too?
I'd love to see the addition of a /vt/ board for having threads about Chuubas

>>3984
You should ask on /wap/

hey check it out post 4000

>>4000
nice!

Found this. It mentions /kind/.

>>4031
Heyuri is a pedophile website. The last time I went there, they had threads where the users would print out pictures of 12 year old girls and film themselves masturbating on them. The users and admins are mostly underage retards who spend all day in the chat linking to each others sites. Sure, rule 8 is nice and it keeps the frogs and jaks away, but is it really any better when the users post "legal CP" of prepubescent girls vaginas from medical textbooks? The owner is a jaksoy mod and a moral degenerate.

>>4072
I agree even though I've only been there twice.

>>4072
i lurked there often at one point and yeah no, the fact they allow underage girls in /s/ even if it's not explicit is disgusting. all of the people that post in those '3d loli' or junidol threads need to be on a watchlist

genuinely that shit makes me deeply ill, awful that the owner actually *wants* to keep that bullshit.

>>4073
>openly transexual moderators
People who obsess over transsexuals (love or hate) have an unconscious repressed fetish.

>>4078
I don't see how wanting to avoid them or thinking others might want to avoid them implies anyone is obsessed. Given this kind of logic why aren't you exposing the obsessed people hating on "heyuri pedophiles" as repressed nonces?

>>4081
Because it does seem the people who complain about transsexuals are unusually obsessed with it. Its one thing to disagree with a group and avoid them, but a certain species of imageboarder sees transsexuals in his walls, under his NEET bed, he sees them everywhere and is always thinking about them. He sees them where they don't exist. This is a repressed fetish. The folks complaining about h*yuri are just complaining about behavior on a site. They don't usually imply that every trashy trend or everything they don't like is caused by transsexuals yanking their chain. When it comes to uncomfy and hostile behavior, the transsexuals aren't even the worst culprits although they can be fairly annoying and cliquey.

>>4088
You need to back to 4bulley, friend.

>>4086
Your post reminds me of the main character in picrel. He is a neet that acts like the very same people that you are describing.

>>4031
>>4073
Nanochan is dead if anyone's wondering. The community has moved to:
http://lambdaplusjs35padjaiz4jw2fugdoeutse262phqr72uf634s2wdbqd.onion/
Also see the bunker board: https://endchan.net/nc/

>>4031
What got blurred out?

>>4100
Nanochan was not good but it was the first image board I ever posted on. So it has a special place in my memory.

>>4073
I don't think /kind/ is like [s4s] at all. I mean there isn't random shitposting here. Although, I do like [s4s] its a 4chins board so yeah it can be pretty uncomfy.

>>4073
I think this is the ad image they were talking about in this screenshot.
>>4207
I'm looking at that board for the first time. 8/kind/ used to have an ika avatarfriend before avatarfriending was banned. It would be funny if that was him still doing that 10 years later on 4cuck. We also used to have threads for saying good night and good morning to each other like they do. Oh my God, the /g*dscommunity/ guy is there too! I'm a huge fan! He hasn't posted on his board in months so I thought he died.

>>4072
It's the whole point of the website and their niche. I don't know why you and several other posters here have to attack it. If they are doing something illegal then it's job for law enforcement otherwise why do you even care.

>>4078
>>4086
The reason transsexual people are met with boiling hate is because they have consistent tendency to being absolutely insufferable. Since things are pretty bad in general without them making it worse, no one has patience. Though I don't understand people who bring them up for no reason. In my experience it's possible to ignore trannies in the same way you ignore other people you don't like.

>>4373
There are probably many reasons for the hate. Yes, their culture can be annoying and insufferable, but I think its best to treat people as individuals rather than as representatives of a group and give others the benefit of doubt. The worst thing about the internet is that you don't actually have to learn how to deal with other people. Don't like someone? Just stop communicating. People who constantly bring up trannies probably do so because they have an subconscious fixation with them.

>>4377
That's the best part about the internet, though. Why waste time talking with people you don't like?

>>4384
>Why waste time talking with people you don't like?
Mostly because you don't like everyone. I genuinely dislike 99% of my internet interactions but since I am a dork there is no escape. I come to internet solely for the purpose of trading insults and venting on /kind/. /kind/ is the only place I don't want to bully anyone. /kind/ and one another board.

>>4385
…I think you'd be better served finding places with more tolerable people if that's how you feel.

>>4390
Unfortunately your proposition, from my point of view, reads like "if you don't like X fix X", and I'd be glad to do just that only I don't know how.

I see a bunker/archive is being made. I don't think I shared it yet, so I'll post the last backup I made of the previous site for archival purposes tomorrow. Unfortunately I don't have a backup of the 2kind site.

>>4663
uhh… did the archive get made…?

>>4842
They'll probably finish it in the next 5 years!

Since it comes down to personal insults, I just want to clarify this one aspect, so I don't waste my effort in the future.

Kindmin, are you an r9k anon? And do you welcome them to /kind/? I don't care for reasons or whatever, just please shed light on these two things. I need to know what I stand for.

>>5409
No, I've never even lurked on a /r9k/ board before. Honestly, all I know is they like spamming frogs/wojaks and raging about "normies". Beyond that, I would probably have some trouble identifying them. I guess we're talking about >>5395 , but I don't see much of a difference between that and the typical vent thread post.

>>5411
I actually meant that anon that tries to tell everyone that /kind/ is wapchan's r9k, which I find very disagreeable. Thanks for clarifying.
>I would probably have some trouble identifying them.
My experience is pretty limited too, but I'm not entirely oblivious either. In my experience it comes down to three simple things: political ragebait, lamenting lack of female love and infiltration. The first two are self-explanatory, the infiltration is when they come to your board in numbers, pretend to be regulars and then use that "excuse" to dictate board culture. The infiltration in particular is very effective against inexperienced admins and I've seen a few good boards fall victim to that, so when people like that anon come in and start telling me that /kind/ should be like r9k, it kinda triggers my self defense mechanisms. That's why I wanted to clarify the matter with you. I can't stand those people, and don't want to post anywhere they rule.

>>5412
why /r9k/? i think /kind/'s more like /c/ or /wsr/!

Kindmin I love you💗

The onion service is not working. Also I just saw that wapchan now is backed with cloudflare service. Kindmin, I would prefer using Anubis for traffic protection service because cloudflare isn't privacy friendly. They can monitor all the trafic on thier end about this website without our consent, which is bad. Here's a proof of concept of how Anubis can prevent ddos and AI scraping https://fabulous.systems/posts/2025/05/anubis-saved-our-websites-from-a-ddos-attack/

>>5597
TOR daemon got stuck (this happens sometimes). I changed it so that it'll auto restart a few times during the day no matter what. TOR captchas are single use. It may not work if you mess with your user agent a ton.
>Here's a proof of concept of how Anubis can prevent ddos and AI scraping
I heard about this software before but didn't know how effective it was for DDOS prevention. I'll look into replacing the cloudflare DDOS protection with it.

The consolation thread stopped bumping again!

>>5719
It's about time that thread fell. It's ripe for the harvest

>>5720
Ima fix that for you, Friend!

Is that pet a cat site bad? When I saw the advertisement I wanted to give it a try, but now that you removed it, I'm thinking maybe you know something I should know too.

>>6170
It was removed because posting unsolicited advertisements is against the rules. I don't know, but the dubious nature of random ads is another reason not to allow them.

>>6171
Welp I opened the irc subdomain and the html says to join the #fpe channel. I joined and the channel description is "and oreos? | irc.shinobu.st". I also joined local #kind and the description is "random acts of kindness | be kind!!". Besides being not sure what lummy wants with /kind/, I'm also rather confused that both channels are literally empty. Finally, there's also a channel named #soy. Also empty.

I don't know what to make of it, but hopefully you'll find this useful.

>>5812
I'll look into this
(it's an old message but clearly still a problem)

>>6172
That is incredibly suspicious. It's probably just another one of their failed soy ops. Thanks for letting everyone know.

>>5812
>>6173
FIGAMIN.
didn't you already fix that? Because last time when I try make an oekeki test post with that browser, the post went through just fine. Except on tegaki and shi-painter, that was completely not compatible with that browser at all.
