Delete the vent thread. Its become very uncomfy and un/kind/ or replace it with something better. Idk a console thread? I'm not sure.

I kind of agree, while I do believe people are allowed to let stuff off their chest, I think that thread does garner unwanted negativity, and where negativity lies hostility also increases, and I’ve seen some very “4chanish” comments occasionally spill out. It really stands out from the rest of this website almost like a thorn

>>3027
Probably because people just wind up letting out their negative emotions and there's nothing but negativity in that thread. There's no positive side to that thread and a cesspool of negativity will wind up with people reinforcing each other's bad thoughts. Also have been seeing a lot of 4bully type comments here lately too. I'm not saying there shouldn't be a vent thread but that the thread shouldn't just be about venting. Like I could see an advice thread instead.

>>3028
Completely agree, I’d discuss that with figmin to make sure threads like that don’t get made again and should be regulated, I really don’t want to say this word but I feel some of those anons really are acting like incel’s which is inappropriate behavior on this website

>>3028
The positive side of that thread for me has been the advice. Also, this might sound awful, but it can be encouraging to see that you're not alone, and that others are wrestling with problems similar to yours. Your idea of reframing the thread in a more positive way is a good one. I'll edit the original post to reflect this change in direction of the thread.
>>3029
It's just one guy making negative posts about women. Posts like that break the 2nd rule, and should at least be deleted. I'll get on that now and try to be more diligent with enforcement in the future. Also feel free to report posts if you feel they break the rules or don't belong on wapchan.

Gotcha

Update, I changed my mind, someone is contemplating suicide now

>>3085
Maybe its not a good idea to turn a suicidal person away, they could be serious. Generally, suicide posting of the kind seen on other boards "I'm gonna kill myself how do I kill myself" etc shouldn't be allowed on site. Overall, that thread has a lot of negativity in it but it can have positive stuff too. The only thing I don't like about it is the way its the most popular thread on /kind/ and takes away from other stuff.

Hot take, but I think /kind/ should be deleted entirely.

>>3087
Actually hard agree, I feel it kinda had a negative effect on this website even though it was created intentionally as a refugee board, now it seems like it’s assimilating this site entirely, I wouldn’t have had this problem is that board was actually y’know “kind”

>>3087
Its not /kind/'s fault that the rest of you don't post. The problem is that wapchan lacks any kind of lounge, so /kind/ winds up filling that niche, and the /vent/ thread sucks up all the attention.

>>3089
Wapchan did actually have a lounge at one point (it was called /chill), but it was merged with /kind/ once they moved here, since it felt pretty redundant to have two lounge type boards

>>3088
>it’s assimilating this site entirely
I go on /digi/, /cel/, etc and don't see anyone venting or talking about suicide. This is just blatantly false.
>I wouldn’t have had this problem is that board was actually y’know “kind”
It actually is kind to have tolerance and listen to the struggles of those who are suffering, rather than treating them like lepers who need to be swept away to preserve some phony sense of positivity. Positivity isn't kindness and having problems in your life and talking about them isn't unkindness.

>>3091
Sorry, I misinterpreted my statement, I was just saying that /vent/ thread was soaking up all activity on this site in general

Hey so I was the one who made the post and a few replies to people trying to explain and should probably explain I deleted the posts myself. I was extremely tired and not really thinking properly at the time and didn't meant to cause such a massive problem with the whole site, so I apologize. I figured I'd explain I did it myself so people wouldn't think an admin deleted it and people wouldn't argue any further about a pretty idiotic post. Sorry for the inconvenience.

>>3093
You didn't do anything wrong at all. A few here have had a bone to pick with /kind/ for a year or more now. Your post was just used as an excuse to rock the boat again. I'm glad you're alive man. Don't die dummy.

>>3094
One of the anons here, I apologize it’s that I got worried people were starting to get too negative on purpose. And I was pointing out things
As for>>3093 glad you’re alright, this is another difference between this site an other boards like 4chan, we always care for another.

There are ankle biters biting ankles in /kind/.

>>3201
/kind/ is a safe space for people of all orientations, including foot fetishists and ankle biters.
