>doesn't kombucha come from mushrooms?
No it doesn`t. It's leterally a fermented tea baverage. What makes it interesting though it has that natural carbonated compound like soda do.

I was never alcohol fan. I used to drink beer and light alcohol drinks like Gordon's Space but not anymore. The only alcohol I drink in rare occasions is wine (mostly red one).

I am drinking right now, it's very fun. I don't think you should drink if you don't have fun though.

I drink socially, on my birthday, Christmas, and new years. Which in total can range from 3 to 6 times a year. But I never drink alone because I get sad easily when I do it.

I do, quite a bit in fact. I got very embarrassed when I got alcohol poisoning and my mom found me there laying half-dead in the middle of my room, made me realized how much of a loser I really am, so instead I try to avoid strong alcohol, relying on beers only for now and sometimes sake when I have a bit of money to spend.

but, nothing ever happens…

Nothing [good] ever happens [if you sit and wait].
[Weird stuff] happens [when you try to do something].

I had some peetsa for dinner. Bacon, pineapple, and ricotta cheese deep dish style. I enjoy trying potentially weird combinations on pizza and seeing how they work. I think this one was pretty good!

coffeeee and pie hour.

The "/kind/ too slow" friend got his wish.

They stood in the desert, searching for Sun,
Not looking back at what has been done,
With darkness ahead and numbness of mind,
Nothing remains, but embracing the /kind/!

I feel like I'm loosing interest in otaku related media and culture. I'm just exhausted by everything and rarely find anime I like. At the same time, I've slowly become more and more interested in traditional Japanese and East Asian culture, folklore, and religion. I think I'm burned out and need some recommendations. The problems I'm having are:

1. Repetitive themes, plot structures, and character types. It feels like every genre has been done to death at this point.

2. Lack of artistic skill. A lot of anime looks and feels the same. There's less stylistic diversity, lack of attention to setting the scene, framing shots well, just telling the story visually etc. I don't blame the animators for this. Its the conditions they work under.

3. Immorality and lack of meaning. Now this is a tough one. A lot of anime is like porn that's just meant to titillate you visually or satiate your need for genre slop. Its like a big greasy hamburger and who doesn't want one of those once in a while? But man cannot live on burgs alone, unless he's American. A lot of otaku slop feels spiritually worthless. There's no real reflection on important life themes or cause for reflection or really anything. A lot of anime and games half ass it resulting in neither a sleazy hamburger or a well made nutritious meal but a god awful hybrid.

I need recommendations /kind/.

Oh but you don't really need to keep up with the manga if you don't have the time, I mean, fandoms don't exist anymore so what's the point?

Unless you have friends to discuss the manga with, you can enjoy it at your own pace.
Since the fandoms are braindead indeed, I just find myself writing about the mangas I've read instead of discussing it with people. It gets lonely at times (especially compared to the past) but I guess that's our current reality.

Hopefully it changes in a few years!

idk fantasy seems really popular in western countries too

I'm kinda like you, with me now rarely finding any anime (both old and new ones) that will make me keep watching them till the end even if said anime are objectively good or anime I used to love or enjoy.

I've recently started watching Gegege no Kitaro and I instantly became a fan. Unfortunately only a few Gegege anime are in English like some of the movies and the 2018 tv series. I highly recommend the 2018 tv series if you're in youkai media and horror anime.

Even with the manga it's based on only a few volumes are translated.

I tried watching Japanese hardcore wrestling and it disturbed me. The non-hardcore stuff was easier to stomach but harder to follow.

Combined filesize limit for 1-3 files is 25mb to prevent someone from trying to flood the site with junk data. I'll re add this to the post form so people know

Kind of drawn into vibraphone jazz lately. My taste of music has shifted into instrumental now. I wonder why?

Ripped some live recordings of Tatsuro Yamashita from youtube before they were deleted.

Okay, so I was walking around some mall when I saw some ads for lingerie with conventionally hot models. I looked at their legs, boobs, the lace and noticing the structure of her bones and my instant thought was "people like this? her bones look yucky" Then it hit me. I haven't had an irl romantic interest in nearly 3 years and haven't felt sexually attracted to someone irl in more than a year. I don't find 3DPD porn arousing and don't like jerking off either. Obviously it wasn't always this way. Its frustrating because I like my dose romance slop but have stopped getting crushes on irl people years ago. What the hell is happening to me? Why am I loveless/sexless all of a sudden?

You literally cannot have low testosterone if you're jerking off too much, you're actively asking your body to produce it. It's like telling a woman she's low on estrogen cause she's ovulating too much.

>don't like jerking off
>it wasn't always this way
When did that start, did something happen?
Changes in your lifestyle, health or way you see yourself? Not sleeping well? What did you use to get aroused by, just people's physical bodies?
Maybe check out this https://www.nhs.uk/symptoms/loss-of-libido/
>I haven't had an irl romantic interest in nearly 3 years
It could be psychological then, maybe caused by your social environment.
Do you not hang out with people anymore the way you used to or do you see the people around you differently?
I have a tendency to self-isolate but making nice friends and getting closer to them emotionally makes me develop crushes.
>specifying that you don't find 3DPD porn arousing
>specifying that you stopped getting crushes on IRL people
What about 2D? You can have crushes on fictional people as well. When I was really deep in the waifu/husbando thing (I basically went full yume), it was really rare that I felt attracted to or aroused by anything other than my husbando, I felt a really deep emotional connection to him and I guess I'm just wired mongamously because seeing other people or characters just made me think "they're good-looking, but they're not him". I was socially self-isolating at the time though and my relationship to the character changed over time as well. Looking back, I'm a bit embarrassed about that particular 2D obsession (I don't usually tell irl people about it), but he made me really happy in my lonely time, so I don't regret it either.

>When did that start, did something happen?
I can't pinpoint it exactly. It just slowly came on and the desire faded away. I've not been sleeping well and life has been high stress lately.

>What did you use to get aroused by, just people's physical bodies?

It was fairly normal before then. I was attracted to people sexually and romantically, not just people's bodies. I used to get crushes, lust after people too, and get horny but all that's long gone now.

>What about 2D?

Used to prefer it over 3DPD mind poison but I just don't feel the urge to seek it out. I get these "nah, some other time" feelings and can't be bothered to seek it out anymore.

>You can have crushes on fictional people as well.

I wouldn't know how to keep that up. I figure you'd need a good imagination to keep that going.

>>5395
its normal

totally normal

trust me, not being attracted isn't a state that has to last for a very short length of time.

more importantly, why exactly is this not normal for you? i mean im not trying to sound mean my words just come off like that sowwy

>>5693
I think the issue is that your poor sleep and high stress environment, coupled with simply getting older, has caused your testosterone to drop off, which has resulted in your lack of romantic interest/sexual arousal. If you are concerned about it you should probably get blood work down, but if that is prohibitively expensive, then I’d start with trying to fix your sleep schedule and maybe introduce some light weight-lifting/bodyweight exercise into your life (assuming you aren’t already). Your diet may also be contributing. Low libido is usually a sign of a deeper hormonal/physiological problem, so best not ignore it! Best of luck, fren!

how's the weather in your area? have you seen anything interesting in the skies recently?

was it sunny and was the sky blue like in this picture?

kites are fun to fly on windy days at a park…

I hate weather where I'm at, I cannot wait to have enough money to be able to move. It's literally all the same dull ass weather for most of the year, this winter we were blessed with raining about every other week, but usually it's just dead, empty sky, sun bearing down on you. I grew up in the desert too, it's not the heat that's the problem, just the fact that it's too empty and still. Feels like nothing is changing, everything's too comfortable, makes me feel lazy and complacent. I hate that feeling. I hope to god we get some more wind this summer, even if all my neighbors are gonna piss themselves over a slight breeze.

Today while out on my usual stroll I got caught in a summer storm, with hail. Fortunately the ice wasn't large but it still hurt a little.

The skies around me are blue with light, fluffy clouds, yet there seems to be lighting and thunder right on top of me. I've never experienced this.

It's so beautiful out tonight. Too bad I need to read.
