Since I redesigned the homepage, I had the idea of incorporating the sidebar into the main thread design, and updating the threads themselves to be somewhat closer to a forum. I am still testing things out but I wonder if people would be alright with this. It's a break from the traditional imageboard look but I think it'll be more distinctive.

Note that currently it dosen't quite sync right so sometimes posts made on the regular UI might not show up unless you make a new reply on there. I am getting burnt out on this so I will try to find a solution down the line but it should work for the most part.

/kind/ the internet is not a great place for the humble recovering hikki looking for guidance. Rage filled incel spam, pseudo psychology, really self-destructive stuff. Where can I get actually good advice?

I’ve never been in a relationship before. I’m a few years behind everyone else in college and have no idea what to do and watching YouTube videos and reading stuff online doesn’t seem to help.

The word insulting is more of a linguistic concept that doesn't require any objective existence in order to be true, or have meaning. You can insult a non-existent thing and it will still be insulting, despite nothing actually feeling anything, or nothing having any realness besides whatever importance someone places on it. Something being insulting is not reliant on experience. If this weren't true then all fiction that has one character insult another would not be insulting, and any parody that does not have real people will also not be insulting. I created the Galatea Multipurpose Companion Maid Robot. It is designed to be an IRL robo-maid girl. Local AI means you can talk with her, and she has actual practical uses. She's also very customizable, you can choose the color, dress, head, hair, and even AI.
I intentionally designed her to be easy to build with the instructions.
I intend this to be the Model T of humanoid robots and robotic companions, while it is not the most complex, it is easy to mass produce and cheap.

How do I remove that horrible sidebar and return to the previous design without annoying "useful" features? Figamin, we love you, but please don't go modern-internet on us. Turn it back. I want my threads as a list like before. I want a zen page without sidebars. I want images to load full-sized only if I click on them. I don't want THIS.

I am currently reading Umineko, yes you should either read the higurashi VN or watch the anime/read the manga beforehand for reasons that would be a spoiler. I've gone trough all 3 versions, watching the anime would be a good alternative because it has less sol without losing out on the story or characters.
(but don't watch that awful 2020's remake/sequel)
In many ways Umineko feels like a continuation of the exploration of ideas present in higurashi.
Fair warning: Umineko is 120-200 hours long and also has a lot of sol moments.

I've been recovering from a cold but I wanted to go to the gym so badly I said fuck it, downed a couple painkillers, and went down to train for 2 hours. Now I feel even worse. Americans only like football because nobody else plays this sport, which effectively guarantees they will never loose. There is no risk of some upstart foreigners and playing the game better than they do. The NBA and baseball occasionally pilfer a player from Asia or bring in a Canadian team disturbing the image of American perfection with the presence of ugly foreigners. The NFL doesn't have this problem because nobody outside of North America plays this game. The whole thing is staged with all the imagery and pageantry of a jingositic America, a fake battlefield full of macho tough guys who give up under the mildest strain to be carted off to the sidelines when ever their pinky hurts. There is in fact no real contest going on in the superbowl. Nothing is at stake. This isn't like the world cup or the Olympics where two nations face off, its narcissus gazing at his own reflection. What do the athletes in NFL represent? They are all symbols for the same damn thing.

I think it's great to admit when you've made a mistake, especially 30 years down the line. Many people would defend their bad design choices until the bitter end.

Not shmup-related, but it reminds me how the creator of Rance IV came out of retirement to release a balance patch that halved the encounter rate and doubled EXP gain. He was replaying it and realized how grindy it was, so he decided to fix it. Some Japanese devs are just built different like that.

OK, I've already read WA so I'm out for this month. But let me tell you some info:

1) Thank God you're not playing OG from 1998, as many of you would be obliterated by its gameplay. Remake is far easier (in a good sense), albeit it remains somewhat repetitive to my taste.

3) Getting to Morikawa's route was hard. Thouth, you won't have any problems getting to other routes.

2) Imo, the best girl (and she also has the best route)–the newly added girl. I suggest everyone to keep her route last-to-read. You won't be disappointed.

you could setup an onionshare web chat page (onionshare.org). It's really easy to setup, is just that only onion user can join. What's interesting about onionshare web chat is that, the ability of the host admin able to ban user from webchat.
